Guiding principles
Quality · Access · Relevance · Impact
Needy patients are supported without discrimination for treatment at Hamdard University Hospital.
Quality
Clinical standards that do not depend on a patient’s ability to pay.
Access
Needy patients supported without discrimination for treatment.
Relevance
Assistance matched to real clinical and socio-economic need.
Impact
Help that reaches hospital, clinic, diagnostic, and laboratory services.
How it works
Assistance with dignity
Hamdard University Hospital’s Patient Welfare Program financially assists needy patients, regardless of religion, gender, race, color, creed, or place of residence.
Patients unable to pay the full cost of inpatient services may request welfare assistance from Patient Welfare Officers before receiving hospital services. The patient and/or immediate relatives are interviewed; if the family’s socio-economic profile meets welfare criteria, treatment cost support is arranged. Where Zakat eligibility appears likely, cases are referred to PWD for confirmation.
In emergencies, clinical care comes first — welfare assessment follows so treatment is not delayed.
